About Me

I am a French native from the Rhône-Alpes region in France. After graduating in teaching French as a foreign language, I decided to move to the United States. I worked 8 years for a renowed language school in Washington DC as a professional French teacher and director of French studies. That wonderful experience inspired me to offer my own tutoring services in order to develop my own ideas in effectively teaching French and provide an innovative service to suit the client’s exact needs. I live in Phoenix, Arizona

Learning with me

Speak French from Day one

I have been teaching French for over 20 years now. I use a conversational communicative methode with the use of multi-media to train you from day one to understand, speak, read and write the language quickly and naturally.

My Method

Interactive, fun and natural

This communicative approach is a methodology proven by current linguistic research to be the most effective for learning a new language. The method places strong emphasis on the communication features of learning a foreign language – that is speaking, listening, practicing real-life situation in a fun and natural way. I believe the best way to learn a foreign language is through repetition, the same way we learned our native language.

The Material

I designed my own workbooks for beginning to Advanced levels that I use in class with adult students. With children, my apporach is different because kids need o have a lot more fun while they learn. I use various methods, icluding Les Loustics, lots of online resources, videos, games, drawings, songs, etc…

Before you sign up

Before you decide to study with me, I will meet with you to determine your current and future needs, your time schedule and your long-term goals. You will take a quick oral evaluation test. We will then discuss in details exactly what you feel your difficulties are in the language. We will discuss a suggested plan and curriculum of study as well as a schedule.
